Tax Free Allowances– make sure you are using up ISA and pension allowances for you and the family.
ISA hack – if you have a child between 16 and 17, there is a quirk which gives them a full cash ISA allowance of £20,000, plus a Junior ISA allowance of £9,000. So, for 2 years, you could shelter nearly £30,000 per year in a tax free environment for their future benefit.
Lasting Power of Attorney – we sent out an email recently about the importance of having an LPA in place before you find yourself in a position where you need one. If you missed it or would like to revisit it, please click here.
VCTs – we have already been in touch about this year’s offerings but don’t forget to include them in your tax return if you did them last year.
