Christmas Newsletter

Header

It has been another great year at Carrington. We have welcomed new faces, celebrated team members and milestone birthdays, and enjoyed a team bonding weekend together. Behind the scenes, we’ve been making our reports more user friendly, implementing new systems and integrating AI to make our processes more efficient, enabling us to focus on what’s most important – you, our client.

Al & Carolyn

Al rocked 60, whilst Carolyn was the Queen of 50!

The team have also taken the plunge into getting more comfortable with recording videos (we’ll make influencers out of them yet!!) and there will be more of this in the year to come. We have also been working on a number of projects which we will look to launch in 2026…keep your eyes peeled.

So, before we head off for the Christmas break, we wanted to share a quick market update with you, give you a peek into how the Santa Fun Run went, and share our office closing hours.

A quick market round up

It has been an interesting year for markets, shaped by shifting sentiment, US political developments and significant capital reallocation away from the US towards the UK, Europe and Asia. AI has been an important market driver, while gold stood out amid geopolitical and inflationary pressures. Despite ongoing global risks and periods of volatility, the Carrington portfolios are closing out what has been, for us, a notably strong year.

We will be hosting the first of our quarterly investment webinars, Market Insights, on 19th January. Invitations to register will be sent in early January and we hope you will be able to join us.

Charity

This year our chosen charity held a lot of personal meaning for the team and some of our clients alike. It has been an honour, and very humbling, working closely with Cure Parkinson’s – learning about the work they do and the impact they make, as well as hearing the stories from those living with the disease. As you know, Oly and Ali kicked off our fundraising campaign by taking on the Royal Parks Half Marathon. Both had their own game plans, which they executed with aplomb.

Then more recently, the team, along with hundreds of others, donned their red suits, bushy beards and running shoes to take part in the Santa in the City run. Against the odds, the rain stayed away and red and white hilarity ensued. Picture this: the team chasing each other (it was never a competition!) past beautifully illuminated London Landmarks in restrictive, one-size-fits-all trousers, which kept falling down. I’d like to point out that Liv just hits 5ft2, while Lucas towers over the rest of us at 6ft5!!!  It was a brilliant evening, we became a bit of a tourist magnet and starred in many of their holiday photos (next time we’ll get them to donate for pap shots) and everyone agreed that we’d like to make it a new Carrington tradition. Have a look…

Santa Run Video

This brought to a close our fundraising events for the year and it was a wonderful way to get into the Christmas spirit. Thanks to all your generous donations, we have almost reached our fundraising target for Cure Parkinson’s. If you’ve not already donated and would like to get us over the line before Christmas, then you can donate HERE.

Christmas Office Hours

The office will close this year on Tuesday, 23rd December 2025 and re-open on Monday, 5th January 2026.

As we head into the festive season, it leaves us to thank you all for your continued support and to wish you and your families a very happy Christmas and a healthy 2026.
