Charity Event

With only 45 days to go, the team is in full training for a weekend of pain, ooops we mean, pure racing pleasure.

But this is not all in vain as we are taking part in this challenge to raise much needed funds for a very special charity, Full Circle Fund Therapies. This group of amazing people support and care for children and adults living with long-term and life-threatening illnesses through integrated therapies. Their hands-on work, care and attention changes the lives of their patients.

And we really appreciate your support. So far we have raised 28% of our target (thank you SO much to all those people who have donated thus far). It would be fantastic if you felt you were in a position to be able to support us by sponsoring our efforts as we take part in the Castle Series Festival of Endurance in July. With your help we are certain we can reach our fundraising goal for this amazing charity and the people they support.

We believe it deserves a special mention that two of our clients and friends have signed up to the mammoth task of tackling the 50 mile ultra run on Saturday, 3rd July. Starting from Eastbourne Pier this run takes in the Seven Sisters of the South Downs National Park, the Sussex Ouse Valley Way and home to Hever Castle via the Ashdown Forest.

Also on the Saturday, Mike, Al and some more of our enthusiastic clients and friends will be taking on the 90km cycle sportive. The route is notoriously hilly, so the guys are spending hours on the bike, searching out all the hills on their current training routes to ensure they are fit and strong enough to take on the climbs Kent is going to throw at them.

Sunday, 4th July is race day for the rest of the team and a couple of personal goals will be achieved as well.

Team Training

Ali is racing The Gauntlet – a half ironman distance triathlon which consists of a 1.9km swim, a 90km cycle and to finish it off a half marathon (21km run). A long-time goal of his, Ali even cancelled his holiday to take part! Tommy is also looking to tick off a bucket list moment by taking part in his first marathon – we’re sure the course is going to be one to remember! Whilst Sophia, Carolyn, Anne and Nicola are teaming up to take part in the marathon relay, which sees each of them completing a 10.5km leg of the course.

If you are free the weekend of the 3rd and 4th July and you feel you’d like to test your mettle on the bike, in the water or around the run course we would love you to join us! There are a variety of events to chose from and the atmosphere should be amazing! In line with government guidelines, and we understand that these may change, this event is expected to be fully open to spectators, so bring the whole family to either cheer you on or join in!

We have kindly been given a 15% discount off the full race entry price, so to sign up to race with us please click HERE and use the discount code CARRINGTONCLIENT.

If you are interested or are going to take part in an event, please let us know so we can include you in our plans for the day.

We look forward to hearing from you.
