We wanted to take this opportunity to update you on some of the achievements of the team, who have over the last 12 months have continued to push themselves, and have excelled. This commitment by the team to their growth and development has resulted in a number of recent promotions, and we wanted to share these with you.

Firstly, we are delighted to announce that earlier this year Sophia Adams attained Chartered status in Financial Planning through the Chartered Insurance Institute.

This is truly a fantastic achievement, and on behalf of us all at Carrington, we would like to wish her a huge Congratulations. Sophia has done an exemplary job as Head of the Client Relationship Team, supporting our clients and guiding her team through the pandemic. She will now be handing over the reins to Tom Scott so that she can take up a position as a Financial Adviser.

Achieving Chartered status is no mean feat and is one of the highest-level qualifications for a financial planner in the UK. The title is only granted to those who meet strict qualifying criteria, so this achievement represents Sophia’s technical competence in Financial Planning and her proactive and commercial approach. So, you can rest assured that you are in great hands!

What this achievement means to Sophia…

“I am proud to have achieved my Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and to have obtained Chartered Financial Planner status. It has been a challenging and rewarding journey and I look forward to continuing to build upon the specialist knowledge I have gained over the last two years in my role at Carrington”.

With big shoes to fill, we are confident Tom is going to do a great job in leading the team. Having successfully completed his Diploma in Financial Planning at the end of last year, Tom is knowledgeable and well qualified to support the advisers and our clients’ needs.

He is assisted in this role by Rachel Hogg, Senior Client Relationship Executive, and Tommy Fairbank, Client Relationship Executive, both of whom are currently taking their exams towards their diploma in financial planning.

And then finally, Marissa Harpa, who works tirelessly behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly for the team whilst supporting all aspects of the business, has been promoted to Office Manager.

Congratulations and thank you to the team. We wish you all the best of luck in your new positions and we know you will continue to grow and thrive in your roles.
