Alistair Candlish joins Carrington Investments

Carrington Investments are delighted to welcome the arrival of Alistair Candlish to our company. Alistair comes with over 20 years’ investment expertise and joins the investment management department headed by Eric Woodward. Carrington have increased assets under management by over 50% in the last 12 months and are committed to providing an investment management service that is different to that available in the market.

Alistair has over twenty years’ experience in investment management. After qualifying as an ACA in 1993 in London Alistair specialised in investing in Emerging Market equities and equity derivatives. He went on to live in Hong Kong for five years during the handover to China, working at an Asian stockbroker, WI Carr.

Returning home in 1998 he worked at Merrill Lynch servicing institutional clients from London, before becoming a portfolio manager for three Emerging Market funds between 2004 and 2013. This included a four year stint with the Emerging Market fund at Bluecrest.

Alistair holds the Investment Management Certificate qualification and has a BSc in Mechanical Engineering from Southampton University. He is married with three children and his interests include golf, cycling, skiing and travel.
